Main street upgrade

 The reversal of direction in Crescent Street, from one way down to one way up, has caused anxious moments to certain motorists, resulting in a minor accident and a few near misses.

 Sincere apologies from everyone concerned in the upgrade of the Main Road. A concerted effort was made by way of articles and maps in the local press. Furthermore an article appeared in another newspaper and over 100 maps were distributed to businesses in the area. Due to the nature of the undertaking things will change in time except the one way up Crescent Street, to High Street, will be permanent with two way traffic allowed from High Street downwards to the two parking areas from Mellville and Checkers.
