Main street upgrade

Progress is being made at a considerable pace in phase two. Unfortunately this includes inconvenience to a number of shops which in turn results in a considerable reduction in turnover. Due to configuration of the revamp of the Main Street the center line of the road has been moved by a few meters with the result that parking on the opposite side of the road, from where the work is taking place, is no longer applicable. On the positive side is the fact that work is progressing well and the envisaged date of completion is a reality.

 A person who has gone out of his way to enlighten anyone on some of their concerns is the assistant to the contractor, Deon Vermeulen. He is a no- nonsense, very helpful man, who makes a point of answering, personally, queries. He can be contacted on 083 787 1591 when I am not available. 

 Please make use of the parking areas when going up Crescent Street. There is a considerable amount of parking space 'a stones' throw from the Main Street.
